Next delivery:-
- Tap anywhere on the ground to start the next delivery.
- Tap on the left half of the ground before delivery released to move the batter to the left.
- Tap on the right half of the ground before delivery released to move the batter to the right.
- Tap on the base of the batters' feet while the bowler is approaching to advance down the wicket.
Playing a stroke:-
- The position of your tap indicates the line through which you want to hit the ball. The further away from the perfect point of contact for the stroke you chose, the further your executed shot will vary from the intended placement.
- Tap inside the black ring to play a front foot shot.
- Tap outside the black ring to play a back foot shot.
- If tap and HOLD, you will play a 'lofted' stroke, otherwise it will be a standard ground stroke.
- To block, the area to tap is directly behind the batsman
Running:-
- To start a run, tap anywhere on the ground. To abort a run, again tap anywhere on the ground.
Tips:-
- Front and back foot blocks (e.g. tapping the area directly behind the batsman), are safer than any other type of shot. Trying to play balls of dangerous lengths becomes harder for attacking strokes, however blocked shots do not get any harder with dangerous length deliveries. Blocking good balls is very important, particularly in test matches.
- You get a power boost for strokes played in the 'V' (i.e. in the area between mid-on and mid-off).
- You get a slight power boost when striking full tosses.
